On a different note, when discussing what yeast to pitch for our latest batch, my thoughts kept coming back to the east coast ale yeast and thd Irish ale yeast. These are both white labs products that I have used many times. I save yeast and make starters and pitch it in as many beers as is appropriate and neither of these two have disappointed me. I don't know what it is about these two but I have had mixed and poor experiences with other kinds of yeast so I think there may be something to them. I just wanted to share some product reviews. Cheers!
Today we brewed an Amber Ale, a welcome change from the lighter beers we've been brewing. This will be the first beer that I keg. Very exciting indeed. Now that I have the keg and the beer has been brewed, I believe it's time to learn how to do this. Kegging will ge my next great adventure.
