As for the lager. I am looking for a easy drinking yellow fizzy refreshing beer. I am not entirely opposed the the light American adjunct lager as some brewers are. I have never made one due to the added complications of lagering and maintaining such low temps. It is all pilsen with flaked corn and tettna
i went to Maryland Homebrew last weekend and purchased supplies for an Irish Red ale and a light American Lager. I may wait to brew the lager in a few weeks but I am anxious to get the red done, may be next weekend. I have tried many recipes for a red and they have all disapointed me. Not because they were bad but because the were not what I consider a red beer. Wshen i think of a "Red" I think of a sweet malty brew that has just enough hop bitterness to cut the sweetness and a bit of hop flavor to cleanse the pallet after a swig. And the color must be red, which has proven itself very difficult to attain.we'll see how it goes.

Today i joined a website called brewshuffle. It sounds like a homebrew exchange which may be exciting. It may also be illegal, when I figure out what it is all about I will let you know. Bottling is not much fun but it is honest work and somebody's got to do it. Today I bottled a batch of the house stout. I burned the batch a bit during the boil but it tastes pretty good , I'll let it carb up and see how it comes out
