To close the year in brewing, I bottled up a batch of McGrizzly's Stout. Preliminary taste test looks promising. I have yet to taste the Westy clone or my Swartzbier which is actually a Dunkle Alt. I am waiting for a chance to get together with the guy I brewed them with, it's the polite thing to do, but they ought to be carbonated by now. Up naxt is currently unknown, we discussed a burboun oaked amber but still need to work out the logistics and recipe. I will likely brew anther batch of my blue ribbon awqrd winning IPA for the early spring. I will of course enter the homebrew contest at the MOCO fair again. I'm hoping I can see some real improvement on my Phinywiesen. I took the judges comments and have studied the style a bit so I feel good about it.

The Westy Clone as well as the Black Alt that I still call a Swartzbier are both bottled and getting ready. I hope to sample one or both on Christmas. I brewed a batch of McGrizzly's dry stout on the weekend after thanksgiving. i should probably bottle it this weekend or next. Next up, an Amber ale delicately hopped with an undetermined American variety and aged in a simulated bourbon barrell. I have never done anything like this so I'll have to see how it goes. i am very excited about what the new year will bring and all the brewing I will do. I'm thinking I may try more lager styles and try to win an award with my Phinywiezen
