GABF: awesome. we likely sampled 300 beers and met some great folks in Denver. We spoke to Sam Calagione from dogfish head, Garrett Oliver from Brooklyn and Hugh Sisson from heavy seas. We also talked to the guys from Jolly pumpkin, the brewer from anchor and lots of other brewers and brewery employees too numerous to mention. We went to the Thursday night opening session and the Saturday morning members only session. Going twice was a great idea. Denver is a cool town and the festival was awesome. after Saturday went to checkout Great divide brewery and went to the Breckinridge restaurant. The night before we went to Pikes Peak in monument also awesome. overall a great adventure and well worth it, if you have the means I highly recommend going.
Beer: The vanilla pumpkin porter is bottled and preliminary taste test indicates that it may need some aging. The old ale is anxious to be bottled and will also likely have to age out after that. This past week we brewed a scotch ale. good times. Unfortunately we haven't found many opportunities for brewing as life gets crazy and stuff.
