I'm still going to put all of my beers in the competition at the fair and I can't wait to see how it goes. My IPA is excellent but I fear I may be losing some aroma. I hope it is still there in august.
My IPA is delicious. My wheat, not so much. It is too sweet and the spicy sour wheaty talste just doesn't go well with the sweetness. Ive brewed the recipe before but with fruit additions. This has served me well but without the fruit it is just wierd. Ill still drink them all but it didn't turn out how I wanted. My lager is a bit too sweet as well but this is no too bad. It is actually pretty clean tasteing besides that. Next time I will try to keep it a bit drier. My Marris otter/ EK goldings SMaSH is very good. It is really crisp and dry. nicely bitter but I think with my future SMaSH brews I may mash at a higher temp. May be 156 or so. This is a very refreshing, tastey and interesting brew.
